Job objective:

The Purchasing Specialist supports the Assortment & Purchasing department by maintaining accurate product and supplier master data, preparing and following up orders, monitoring sales and stock performance, and ensuring smooth coordination with suppliers, stores, warehouse and internal teams. The role contributes to achieving commercial targets, optimal stock availability and efficient product flow across the DOUGLAS store network.

Your responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate product master data in the ERP system, including product names, prices, commercial statuses, barcodes, reference numbers and supplier information.
  • Prepare and follow up regular orders to assigned suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and correct quantities for stores and warehouse.
  • Monitor sales, stock levels and product rotation by store, brand, line and SKU, and prepare regular reports to support commercial decisions.
  • Support stock management activities, including transfers between stores, availability checks, slow-moving items, expiring products, delisted SKUs and returns from animations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse, stores and internal departments regarding deliveries, discrepancies, invoice or price differences, testers, samples, gifts and promotional materials.
  • Work with promotion tools and internal systems to create promotions, update information and report campaign results when needed.
  • Prepare and format materials, product information, translations and documents related to novelties, promotions, special offers and product trainings.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, reliable reporting and strict confidentiality of company information.

Our requirements:

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Retail Management or a related field.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, assortment, category management, supply chain, retail operations or a similar analytical role is an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and confidence working with reports, data and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work accurately with product, price and stock information.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic retail environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with suppliers, stores, warehouse and internal departments.
  • Fluent Bulgarian and good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Interest in beauty retail, fragrances, skincare, make-up and premium customer experience is considered a plus.
