Data is the foundation for many key decisions and products at DOUGLAS. In close collaboration with Engineering, Analytics and the business, we are developing our data landscape further on the basis of a modern lakehouse architecture, with clear standards for quality, security and operations.

We are looking for you as Product Owner to take responsibility for the functional and strategic development of our data products and to make sure they create real value for the business. You can expect plenty of room to shape things, short decision-making paths and international, cross-functional collaboration with experienced engineering and platform teams. Do you want to actively build data-driven products and make them effective, rather than just manage them? Then a committed team is looking forward to welcoming you.

TASKS WITH IMPACT

  • You translate business goals into a clear product strategy and own the roadmap for our data products based on the lakehouse architecture
  • Together with stakeholders, you prioritise the backlog and features according to business value, risk, technical dependencies and platform maturity
  • Requirements and acceptance criteria for new use cases are defined by you in close collaboration with the business, Analytics and Engineering
  • Steering delivery across the entire lifecycle, from discovery through rollout to operations, you ensure transparency through epics, stories and regular review cycles
  • As the central interface, you orchestrate collaboration between Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Platform Engineering and the business
  • To make sure our data products are usable, technically robust and governance-compliant, you establish product metrics and success criteria such as adoption, time to value, quality and stability
  • Clear documentation and shared standards are something you actively drive and embed in the teams’ daily work

YOUR SKILLS

  • You bring several years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or in a comparable role in a data or platform environment
  • Solid understanding of modern data platforms and cloud-native operating models, ideally with experience in Snowflake, dbt and Power BI
  • In complex, cross-functional environments, you have already prioritised and balanced technical and business requirements
  • Agile methods and delivery processes are part of your confident day-to-day practice
  • Working with SQL comes naturally to you, and you understand how the disciplines around a data platform, such as Engineering and Analytics, work
  • Technical concepts are something you explain clearly to business stakeholders, and you translate business requirements into technical terms. Along the way, you actively involve stakeholders and take responsibility for the outcomes of your products
  • Confident written and spoken communication in German and English rounds off your profile

Then become part of our international company and apply, stating your salary expectations and possible starting date.
